Graduate Program

The Models, the Tech, and the Business

Our graduate program directly feeds five core groups: Customer Success, Engineering, Models and Data, Product, and Strategy. You may be an aspiring developer with a science or tech background, or perhaps you want to solve business problems working directly with the companies and industries leading the charge in catastrophe risk models, data, and technology use. No matter your focus, your training will lead you to a role that matches your ambitions.

Graduate Program Strands

Customer Success

The global (re)insurance industry has long been making deep use of our products and services. Other areas – including banks, investors, governments, and corporates – are increasingly realizing the value potential we provide. Companies across all these industries need our expertise to achieve the most successful outcomes from their investments in us. Our Customer Success  graduates bring technical/scientific aptitude, a customer service orientation, and a great work ethic, equipping us with the best people to partner with our clients.

Software

Changing global trends require a systematic view of risk with bold technological and scientific investments. The Moody’s RMS Intelligent Risk Platform™ brings together our excellence in science, modeling, and more, so customers can access consistent and trusted data, collaborate through connected applications, and unify their view of risk. Our Software graduates join the teams that deliver the industry’s first open-standard risk platform, providing risk management enterprises with the technology and in-depth data to obtain a global view of risk on a cloud-native environment.

Model Development

Moody’s RMS pioneered the catastrophe risk modeling industry in 1989 after Stanford scientists developed our first model for California earthquake. Our commitment to developing our suite of world-leading catastrophe models – from hurricanes to cyberattacks – that allow our customers to understand and manage risk remains as fresh as it was more than 30 years ago. Our Model Development graduates help continue this momentum by bringing a mix of deep technical/scientific aptitude and creativity to keep us at the forefront of innovation.

Strategy

The ever-evolving landscape of risk management demands a strategic approach that is both innovative and grounded in industry knowledge. At Moody’s RMS, we lead the industry by continuously refining our strategic direction to anticipate changes and stay ahead of the curve. Our Strategy team is at the heart of this endeavor, analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and crafting plans that drive growth and success. What do you enjoy most about your work?

I think first and foremost, I love that every day brings something new. Some jobs can feel quite mundane when you do the same work day in and day out. Moody’s RMS is the opposite of that. There is always a new client challenge to be solved and I really enjoy the variety of work I get to do (and the awesome people I get to do it with).
